Having acne is not fun, from regular breakouts to occasional blemishes. For you to have a clear skin, you must exercise healthy habits of taking care of your skin. However, you need extra to remove those pimples that tend to appear when you least expect. In order to remove blemishes on your skin, try the following homemade acne treatments. Homemade acne treatments have been proven to be effective.

Spot treatments and clay masks: when you mix water with a little clay powder, the paste that forms is one of the most effective homemade acne treatments. The clay will absorb excess oil, draw out impurities and unclog pores. It also boosts circulation of blood in the skin, and this greatly helps in the healing process. Use the paste twice everyday to get the best results.

Tea tree oil: this is another homemade acne treatment method that works effectively. Its antiseptic properties make it very effective. This destroys any bacteria that could be responsible for harming your skin. Use a cotton ball to directly dab tea tree oil on the affected areas of your skin preferably three times a day. Dilute it with water so that your skin does not get irritated.

Baking soda: if you do not have tea tree oil or clay powder, baking soda will be a good homemade acne treatment remedy that works effectively as well. Baking soda is a strong antibacterial agent and can remove or reduce the size of pimples on your skin. Mix a little water with baking soda then apply on the affected parts. This is a simple homemade acne treatment method that at times works wonders since it softens the skin as well. Apply it at least twice per day.

Orange peel: take an orange peel and rub it on the affected area. Another option is to grind it, mix with some water then apply it on the skin. Let it stay on the skin for about twenty minutes then wash it away. Vitamin C and citric acid that orange peels have will nourish your skin and relieve it of acne.

Paste of rose water and oatmeal: make a paste of rose water with oatmeal and scrub it on your face. This paste absorbs all the extra oils and cleans the skin of all its impurities. For skins that are too oily, use lemon juice in place of rosewater. Alternatively, use fresh milk if your skin is dry.

These homemade acne treatments can be effective if applied and used in the right way. Ensure that you exercise for you to get the best results. This increases the flow of blood to the skin and the blood will wash away the toxins that cause acne. Also drink a lot of water every day.
